RE-WIRING Project Presents Groundbreaking Research on Gender Equality at the House of Lords

Posted by

We are thrilled to share that on May 23, Dr. Devran Gulel and Prof. Karen Johnston from the RE-WIRING project had the distinct honor of presenting our research on gender equality at the esteemed House of Lords in the UK. This event focused on advancing women’s representation in the workplace, a critical issue in our ongoing efforts to promote gender equality.

The event, a collaborative effort with PWN London, provided an invaluable networking platform and a dynamic workshop, fostering a safe space for exploring:

  • Women’s representation in leadership roles
  • Persistent gender gaps in leadership positions
  • Innovative and practical solutions to close these gaps
  • Strategies to ‘re-wire’ institutions instead of attempting to ‘fix women’
  • Personal experiences of participants navigating workplace biases

This event was more than just a presentation; it was a powerful opportunity for knowledge exchange where we could share experiences, raise awareness, and discuss strategies to advance gender equality in leadership.

Together, we are committed to dismantling systemic barriers and fostering inclusive workplaces where women can thrive and reach their full potential.
