We are excited to announce the launch of a groundbreaking, evidence-based career orientation activity developed under Work Package 3 on De-biasing Education.
Created by Dr. Alexandra Lux and Prof. Colette van Laar (KU Leuven), Dr. Jenny Veldman (Utrecht University), and Dr. Ruth Van Veelen (TNO), this innovative session is designed to help secondary school students navigate their future with greater clarity and confidence — and your school can be part of the first international rollout.
Following the successful pilot session at Sint-Jozefscollege in Aarschot (Belgium), we are now expanding to schools across Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Ghana, with sessions available in May, June, and July 2025.
🌍 A Unique Experience for Students — With No Extra Work for Schools
This 90-minute, one-time session takes place at your school and is fully facilitated by the RE-WIRING team. The activity includes:
- Real-life career testimonials from professionals in fields ranging from data analysis to social work
- Interactive reflection exercises that help students examine their interests and debunk common career myths
- Scientific insights into how the session works and how we evaluate its effectiveness
🎓 Why Participate?
- Low administrative load: We manage all logistics and provide ready-to-use materials, including info letters for students and parents
- Valuable student experience: Encourages self-awareness and expands students’ understanding of career paths
- Participation perks: Each student receives a small gift or voucher
- Optional school report: For schools with 40+ participants, we offer an anonymized summary of student interests and trends
