The RE-WIRING project was recently featured at the 10th Congress “El tiempo de los derechos” (“The Time of Rights”), held on 22–23 May 2025 at the University of Valencia. This major academic event brought together over 100 experts from across Spain to address some of the most urgent contemporary challenges in the field of human rights.
As part of the program, Dolores Morondo, researcher at the University of Deusto’s Institute of Human Rights and member of the RE-WIRING consortium, presented the project to fellow academics and human rights specialists. Her intervention highlighted RE-WIRING’s interdisciplinary approach to addressing structural inequalities and fostering inclusive, evidence-based policy. The project’s contributions to democratic resilience and social justice across Europe were also emphasized.

About the Congress
Organized by the “Tiempo de los Derechos” Network, this congress is a cornerstone event for Spain’s human rights research community. The network, established in 2008 through the Consolider-Ingenio 2010 Program (HURI-AGE), brings together 15 leading research groups and centers dedicated to legal and interdisciplinary studies in human rights.
Today, it is regarded as Spain’s foremost academic platform in the field, fostering collaborative research, policy impact, advanced training, and high-level scientific dialogue.
RE-WIRING’s participation in this congress reflects its strong engagement with academic and policy communities committed to advancing rights, equality, and inclusive democracy across Europe.
