Posted by

According to De Volkskrant, Good Mom/Bad Mom (one of the five major exhibitions of the RE-WIRING project) is ranked among the top exhibitions of 2025 in the Netherlands. This acclaimed show has been widely praised for its bold and nuanced exploration of motherhood, care, and emancipation through art and material culture.

Curated by Laurie Cluitmans and Heske ten Cate at the Centraal Museum Utrecht, Good Mom/Bad Mom brought together works by more than 60 artists, offering a powerful critique of cultural myths and social expectations around parenthood and gender roles.

This recognition reflects the exhibition’s impact not only as a highlight of the cultural calendar, but as a space for critical public engagement on gender, identity, and representation. It was also nominated for the Museumtijdschrift Tentoonstellingsprijs 2025, further testifying to its significance in today’s art and cultural landscape.

Congratulations to all the artists, curators, and collaborators involved and thank you to audiences who continue to engage with RE-WIRING exhibitions and the critical conversations they inspire.
